Pastor Kathy Kollar

Rev. Kathy Kollar graduated from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2019 with a Masters in Divinity. She completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education and began preaching at Pleasant Valley in October 2019 while working part-time as a hospice chaplain for OhioHealth Hospice in Mansfield. Originally filling in a couple of times a month as a supply pastor, Kathy quickly became Pleasant Valley's "regular supply" as she pursued ordination with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

In March of 2020 Kathy began pastoring Pleasant Valley through the pandemic, while working to finalize her call process. That summer, Pleasant Valley and St. Paul worked in conjunction to call Kathy to be our pastor. Because of the pandemic, Pastor Kathy's ordination was held outdoors at the Myers Bandshell in Ashland on October 3, 2020, in a service jointly hosted by Pleasant Valley and St. Paul.

In November of 2020 Pastor Kathy was hired full-time by OhioHealth Hospice and continues to serve both as a chaplain and pastor. On the one year anniversary of her ordination Pastor Kathy was officially installed at Pleasant Valley and St. Paul Lutheran Churches.

Pastor Kathy owns a bed and breakfast in Ashland, Ohio where she lives with her twin sons. In her spare time she likes to go kayaking.
